Now that the hoopty is gone it looks like it was there for safety purposes. Turns out there was a huge ass sinkhole under it.

I still can't use it til I get that filled in and from what I understand the city has to inspect the sinkhole to determine the cause before any work can be started. Permits also have to be issued. There may be utility damage or even some problem that I could be responsible for repairing since it's my "property".

So for now it looks like I'll still be parking in the paid lot under the pigeon tree across the street.

I'm seriously considering writing a strongly worded PM to St. C.
