The 2020 Presidential Election

I don't think Austin has a place to build a homeless camp.
I wish they could do the model of the tiny homes like they do in Utah.
Adler wants Austin to look like San Francisco apparently.
I've already seen the mattresses and sofas and people laying around already right up the street from me. Some of my liberal neighbors are not happy. Originally Posted by Austin Ellen

Seems to be a trend across the nation, typically private funding of various sorts:

Here's one about Utah, where they got into homes for the homeless pretty early:

I first heard about it on KUT, I think it was this story from 2016:

There are those whose entire lives are built around lies. For those people, Trump's pathological lying doesn't matter. (Perhaps he "represents' them.)

Others hydrate with far too much Kool-aid.

But the truth matters for most people. The truth certainly matters to good people.

When you get down to it, what is Trump's signature accomplishment: The economy.

If you are an investor, in the upper crust or have strong business ties, you are enjoying this economy. However, the majority of people who are not are working two to three low wage jobs to make ends meet. Not everyone can work trades and, we have too many wars in the world to advocate military.

If the economy had a sudden collapse, there wouldn't be much left for Trump.

And as an AA who is sick of these white nationalists feeling froggy and prideful, Trump gotta go. While we can debate till we are blue, the devil is in the details.

Dev Null's post above says it all.

Yes, sadly this is true. There are many, many with mental illness. It's not that they really don't want to follow rules it's more like they don't know how. Loves and Fishes is an outstanding organization. I much admire them.

Signed trade deal with China? I must have missed that one.

Stock market at an all time high? Great for the 54% of adults who have money in the stock market. Meaningless to the 46% who do not.

I know you understand the REAL issues that impact the voters and it's not the minor crap in your post. Healthcare. Trump scores a zero. Immigration -- Trump seems to be trying but right now he gets at best a 50. Economy -- depends who you ask. The middle of the middle class and below are not better off than they were when Trump took office. Tax reform package gave them a little more money each month. The tariffs imposed on other countries have taken that away. And the cost of living rose more in 2018 than in the previous 10 years, turning REAL wage growth negative.

Try living in the REAL world, not the world Trump has you believing it is.
