Thanks for admitting your mistakes. Maybe you can request the staff to remove this horribly erroneous bit of misinformation and try again in a fresh one.
In your view. Ok.

The premise stated in the OP stands and is supported by my ow corrected citations of THE reascent SCOTUS decisions, "Heller" and "Buren".

Hawaii will be found to be in violation of the rights of individual citizens specifically enumerated in the Second Amendment to the Constitution's Bill of Rights.

To allow a state's legislature to declare any portion of the Constitution to be irrelevant or inoperative in that state could lead to the dissolution f the Union.
You're right. That's exactly what happened when states passed laws in contravention of Roe.

Heck . . .I have known and worked with guys who would welcome the return of the Jim Crow South of pre-WW II America.

That could happen if Hawaii is not shut down on this.

I did not intend to change the topic. My intent was to bring to light a similar case of a state acting contrary to the wishes of the federal government and being opposed for it by them. . . . .

To return (forcibly) to the topic; I expect Hawaii to be overturned by the federal courts in the near future.

The nature of federalism and state's rights continues to evolve in the USA in this third decade of the 21 Century.

My apologies to all for the apparent but unintended hijack.
