Baseball is in the Air!!!

Baseball on Fox won't be the same again with Tim McCarver not doing the games any more.

Hey strongbad, have you been a cardinals fan since Tim was at backstop?

Loved the rivalry between 'Stros and Cards. When DK went to the Rockies and then the Cards it fueled a serious fire. Tabulated his earnings per pitch for 2000 and it was staggering the bank that guy was making. But he produced results with a 20 game year. Very sad when he died so young.

Cards had a great team in 2000 with Rentaria, McGwire, Clark and DK. I was pulling for them in the playoffs but leave it to the NY teams to have a subway series that year.

I may take some time off and head for Busch Stadium and watch the cards play the braves and the reds the end of July.

Yep. I think I made a similar jester that night. That thing hadn't even hit the facade and I headed up the aisle - that one was a goner when Lidge turned it loose. I was halfway to the concourse before most people even realized what happened.

Lol....check out The WIP Sports Radio (Philadeldelphia) on line some time; it'll crack you up listening to the hosts and fans argue about Everything......those people are effin' nuts up there; especially one of their hosts (Josh is his name, I think....on air during the afternoons with Tony Bruno) that was in the Houston market a year or so ago? Jeeez, he hates Dallas....hates Houston....he just fricken hates Texas, period. He's perfect for the Philly market....

One of my favorite Astros-cards moments was the 2001 season last series of the year Astros clinch in Busch Stadium.

Fans are fans everywhere.....that said, Iggle fans are a different breed unto themselves. Their rage (and cottage-industry hatred for the Dallas Cowboys) is a disguise for what's really taking place..

They like to refer to it as hatred / anger; that way it sounds more tough and macho. But when you peel away the mask, it's a simple case of a negative self-image soaked in intense jealousy and heavy quantities of alcohol.

Take hearty, Iggle fans.....it's a matter of 'sooner or later". The "aughts" are gone and though we're half-way through the teens, with another 85 years remaining in the 21st Century, the odds are you will (sooner or later) win that first Super Bowl championship.

Just ask Boston Red Sox fans about being patient....or Cub Fans.....or...

Ooops......never mind.
