Rand Paul does not blame Obama for Iraq crisis

Obama has been in office for five years! He certainly could have secured the border. The border states would have been happy to help him with National Guard troops. This is a problem we blame on BOTH political parties. Neither has done what is needed.. What a surprise! Originally Posted by heinz5710

And what is our "fix" in Afghanistan, our "noble war". You do know that the minute we pull out completely and stop propping up what little actual Government is there, it will resort right back to being the same shithole it was before we ever got mixed up. In fact, it might be worse. Originally Posted by Jackie S

Actually, IMO, neither side is "correct in their assessment"!

The name-calling is in lieu of ....

However, we do know this much: LLIdiot is still on a need to know basis. And LLIdiot still doesn't need to know!

As usual, LexiLiar is spouting off about something he knows absolutely nothing about. In and of itself, that would be reminiscent of him spouting out about the ill fated and ill advised, spring of 2003 invasion of Iraq.

But, that's nothing new. It's just 'bidness', as usual for the Idiot Klan, errr Clan.

As our resident, Wannabee USMC would say, "Carry on!"

Hey Maliki knuckled under and granted legal immunity to American troops.
I don't know what you mean by "blame"....but the consequences of Obama's policy of no Status of Forces Agreement is clearly on Obama and no one else. In 2011, Iraq was stable. Obama didn't want to leave troops behind (might be a correct decision); but the resulting consequences of not leaving military in country is squarely on Obama. The current ISIS takeover can be blamed on Obama - NOT Bush !

When asked back in January 2014 about ISIS taking over Fallujah and flying the Al Qaeda flag, Obama responded, by dismissing ISIS has a non threat:

“The analogy we use around here sometimes, and I think is accurate, is if a jayvee team puts on Lakers uniforms that doesn’t make them Kobe Bryant,”

Obama has been wrong on almost all issues; the Iraq fall is one of the many consequences.

This is one of the few things Obama can legitimately blame on Bush. This thing was lost the moment it started with no clear idea of what the objective truly was. Can't blame this on Obama. There was no fix to this mess. Originally Posted by CuteOldGuy

Obama and the Democrats will do none of the above.
