clock watching and time management

Another clock-watching thread huh?

Well here's my 10 cents: I have found that the guys that scream "clock watcher clock watcher" are just cheapasses / broke jokes and penny pinchers. Why the hell will someone pay for one hour and expect more? If you want more time, why not book more time instead of trying to take advantage of the lady's time? This is where COMMUNICATION IS KEY! If you want 2 hours, DO NOT BOOK ONE and cry like a baby when she does not give you more time. When I was working, I had a clock in my incall. It was big as hell but very stylish so both HE and I could see it . When it came to outcall, I knew when I stayed an hour. If I overstayed an hour, I wasn't too bothered by it because I was obviously enjoying myself. Oh and I gave everyone an extra 15 minutes just as courtesy.

I always turned my phone off. Cell phone ringing during a date is a MAJOR turn off for even me. If there was a clock around, I'd glance at it without the gent noticing. Why NOT? You really expect to get 2 hours for one hour pay? You hired a hooker/an escort/ a TEMPORARY girlfriend.. this ain't match.com or eharmony! If you want free time, get a girlfriend or finally do your wife!

To the ladies that say they don't watch the time: Instead of having 1hr 200 , 2hr 400 on your website .. why don't you just do a $200 clock free rate? (Sarcasm)
I don't watch the clock, but I have playlists on my Ipod that are as close to 1hr/90 mins/2hrs, etc., as they can get. Once I don't hear anymore music, time's up darlin'.

I will allow my clients 10-15 mins to finish up, clean up, etc. If you want anymore time after that, you need to pay for it.

I think it depends on the situation really. Generally, I have a good sense of time too but occasionally, I've looked at my watch and realised I'd gone over time
If a regular started to assume he could go over everytime it would be best to be honest. If he never took the hint, I wouldn't keep him as a regular anymore. There are plenty of respectful guys out there so to loose of p-taker wouldn't be a big deal
A few escorts I know set their alarms or iPods when time us up and this works for them xxx

Yeah.. now if a lady is glancing over at the clock every 5 minutes she's a clockwatcher. That's not cool at all. However, If she's simply trying to make sure the date dosen't go over time.. I think that's fair

Back on subject - there are several professions that are run by the hour. Counselors, for example, meet with their clients for typically 50 minutes. They will often simply put a clock on the wall behind where the client sits. Peripheral vision is all that is needed. Of course if the professional's head is bobbing up and down perhaps ... oh, never mind.

I will agree with many others, alarms totally turn me off. I'd never go back.

I wear a pretty watch on outcalls and I have a wall clock in my incall. Phones should be off and put away during a session and a phone alarm would be unsettling going off. Just wear a watch. I like the hourglass idea just because they are neat looking to begin with.

one or two easily visible clocks works well for both provider and client. For outcall, you can bring one of those portable clocks that shines the time on the ceiling

A good client will always be mindful of the agreed to amount of time. I know from my experiences, I look at the clock when we start a session. I will then periodically look at the clock just to see where we stand on time. While cognizant of the time, I'll take my cues from the lady. Never once have I had a gal try to seriously short change me on time. I've had a few end things maybe 5 minutes early. I've also had several who went over by 5 minutes or so. There have been times when I know I'm done and have actually brought things to an end (usually right on time ). I've found that I can pace myself based on the length of date.

When it comes to providers, the good ones will never put themselves in a position where clock watching becomes an issue. Quality providers allow adequate time between appointments or simply book just one appointment a day. For them, time management is an art mastered. I've been with several high quality providers who really don't mind if things go past the scheduled time. They have told me as such. They've told me that the only time clock watching or time management becomes an issue is when they really don't like the guy that they are with. The providers who have the biggest hangups with clock watching are the low end; high volume BP type providers. Also agency girls are notorious for clock watching. That is one reason I avoid agencies if at all possible.

As for the original post, I really don't care what a lady uses to manage time (if she even does manage time) with the 2 exceptions. First, I don't like a provider who has someone call them in order to indicate a date is close to being over. I have had several of these experiences and it has always been the same. The phone call comes with 15 minutes (or more) left to go in the date. This is usually right when things are getting hot and heavy. The phone going off just ruins it. Personally, I think providers who do this do it intentionally to get a date over sooner rather than staying for the full time. I think that it should be common courtesy for a provider to turn her phone OFF during the date. Second, provider who use the countdown method. Usually starting with 15 minutes to go, they will mention the time. Then again at 10 minutes and finally at 5 minutes. I'm not the damn Space Shuttle. I don't need a countdown to blastoff. It actually puts more pressure on me to perform while ruining the moment.

Naomi. . . I thought that 1hr really meant 2hrs!!
Interesting discussion. I have only been with one zealous time keeper, but the chemistry was off, so I was ready to go. For the ladies with playlists on MP3, what do you do when the gent is like me and brings his own mood music? Some ladies play rap, others country, and neither is my favorite snuggle music.

I have more then 1 playlist. I have a slow and sensual with artist like Sade and Maxwell. Then I have a slow and sensual rock with artist like Chris Issac and the Cure. I have a country an R&B and then an alternative with artist like Placebo. I even have a trance playlist. I have something for everybody.
Many professions are billed by the hour, often excessively so. Of course companions should be aware of the clock and terminate dates accordingly - that's how we get paid.

Anything else is just another anti-woman suggestion that we should not get paid for what we do/make ourselves available for....

Duh.

I have music downloaded to my cell phone. I have playlist for HR and 2 HR dates. Once the music stops it is about time to finish up. I know at what point in the playlist that I have about 5 min left so that's my cue to make it happen soon. This way I am not looking at a clock or really concerned about time since I know exactly how much time I have left according to the music. I keep the volume down so it's not to distracting and try to choose songs that get me in the mood. Originally Posted by Audrina Monroe
