WW - We should cut Defense by at least 50% and tell the military leaders to figure out how to do their jobs with less. That's how the private sector works, every dollar spent has to be justified. That money should go to pay down debt, not to social programs. The same should happen with social programs, people with real need should get help and those that drive an Escalade with 24" rims to pick up their checks should be denied. I'm sure we could save a lot of money by not supporting those that can work. Social programs should also have an expiration date - we'll help you for this long, we'll train you to get a job, and you will get a job. If you quit the job or are fired for a valid reason, you're own your own.

There are ways of saving, but no one wants their piece of the pie touched. Everyone says cut there, not here. Well, we should cut everywhere.

I think the Tea Party will go along with substantial cuts (especially if it means pulling out of countries that either don't like us, or the others who expect us to pay but don't support their own military).

The kicker is keeping the Democrats hands off the cut money; those fuckers will want to spend it on social engineering and bigger government.

The audience should have got up and walked out, every last one. That would have made a statement. For this guy to be commander in cheif, is sickening. Obama despises America's military. He thinks we're the bad guys.
