How would Al Jolson do today?????

I’d say 100 years ago was a different time.

And we all know why this is an important thread now, right?

But living in the past continues to be central to the neocons.

Comes as a tremendous shock, fellas!

On a similar note, I wonder how Attila the Hun would do today.

Or polio.

Or asbestos.

Credit for that quote is given to George Santayana. Having seen reflected what some dipshit of the year wrote about the right being overly concerned with the past...who is currently tearing down statues and renaming buildings? Why are these people doing this? It is the mindless mob on the left that is "overly concerned" about the past but only selected past. They will not admit their roots in the KKK, Jim Crow, and modern human trafficking but they will accuse Ben Franklin of being a racist. The first great American abolitionist is a racist according to these jokers. They attack statue with moral indignation because those people represented by statues did great things in their lives. Those faceless little turds will never come close to doing anything. They lack the courage.

Unless there’s some convoluted relationship between a thread about a Jewish man in blackface and “mooslums,” I don’t follow your logic.

Please clarify.

Thank you.

Speaking of black face. Did you know that Othello was black? As was the Moor in The Merchant of Venice. Do you really think they had a black man playing the parts before the 1950s? Edwin Booth appeared in black face and he was a southerner. There you go woketards, your next target.

for them to be consistent, what does that say about the dimocrat party?

Would it be the same concept if a woman appeared to be a man or a man appeared to be a woman? Sounds like it is the same concept. Oh boy, Jaye Davidson (The Crying Game), John Lithgow (The World According to Garp), and Jane March (The Color of Night) had better watch their backs.
How about a straight actor playing the part of a gay character or vise versa Ellen Page (Juno), Robert Preston (Victor/Victoria), or Alex Karras (also Victor/Victoria).

And Jeez, all those Italian actors who played the parts of Native American characters. Even John Wayne played Ghenghis Khan in a movie (The Conqueror).
I do laugh my ass off at this concept that LGBTQ actors need to play LGBTQ characters. Do these motherfuckers not understand the point of acting?
