The issue isn’t stupid voters. Our elections have ever been decided by low information voters. Same sex marriage was central to Bush (the younger) getting re-elected.

It’s stupid candidates. And the Republican Party has flooded us with so many conspiracy nuts, uneducated and flat out idiots, we’ve got to put up with the likes of MTG and Lauren Boebert.

They should at least be able to pass a simple civics exam before being able to run for office.

We need to protect the low-info voter (and the Republic) from idiot candidates.

Single issue voting is extremist voting. An informed voter takes several issues into account, weights them, and tries to decide in the likelihood of their important issues not passing.

The only negative I see right now that has impacted me is the inflation rate and I can explain why the rate has exploded in the last year but you won't listen to facts. I agree with you on that -- the president gets the blame whether it is his fault or not on most issues. And voters will take it out on Democratic candidates in a few weeks. But the fact is the high inflation rate we are experiencing has almost nothing to do with Biden's policies. 8.2% in the U.S. in September. 10.1% in the U.K. 8.9% in Italy and Spain. 10.0% in Germany.
