Sometimes, the threats are serious and we move, most of the time, the threats are just flat out bullshit. She had no reason to take the guy seriously-- after all, she hadn't done anything wrong. She didn't get any money from him. She didn't refuse him service. He tried to rip her off but it failed. I could see her taking it more seriously had she been in the wrong.
Now I probably would have moved-- but I tend to be a bit overly paranoid. I can reasonably understand why the threat wouldn't have been taken seriously.
