Freebies for veterans

I wonder if I'd get any extra loving if I showed up in dress blues?

I would never ask for anything free as veteran. I served at the pleasure of all civilians in these United States of America, and I thank you for the supporting veterans of this great country.

My dad always refused to apply for veterans benefits. He said the service to his country was payment enough. I support companies that honor veterans though. So many are forgetten by the system that utilized them.
