My bad bambino. It was a terminology misunderstanding. When you said judge I thought you were refering to a judge.

According to Google...
judges are credited to have more powers than a magistrate. The magistrate is known to have powers more of an administrator, and most of them handle only minor offenses. They may handle offenses, such as, petty theft, small crimes, and traffic violations. Originally Posted by Gabrielle

If you know him bambino, would you please tell him to stop it? Diversion programs do not work, overall. And the one here in Pittsburgh has a 42% failure rate. 42% failure rate!

Circling back to the topic of voting...I hear the Allegheny County DA is up for reelection (or should I say deelection, deerection ). Vote him out!

This is happening, right now...under our current DA...

Prostitution is considered a 2nd or 3rd degree misdemeanor. If its a first or second offense a judge could sentence you up to a year in jail. The guy I know would give probation to first or second time offenders as long as there wasn’t anything else involved. That’s just a fact. Judges aren’t going to fill the jails with people who committed a 2nd degree misdemeanor.

94% of cases result in a plea bargain, all cases...not just prostitution.

So here...let me lay it out for you...

An arrest happens.

1 count prostitution or solicitation.

The prostitution charge alone isn't really enough for cuffs or searches, much like when you are pulled over.
"Get a warrant".

1 count instrument of crime (for a cell phone, or pre June condoms)

So you add the "instrument of crime" charge, for a cell phone, which is a higher charge that then results in cuffs and a ride downtown PLUS a search.

1 charge marijuana possession

So then...20 bucks of weed results in MORE charges.

1 charge paraphernalia

Then the bowl adds more charges.

The charges are all stacked to elicit a plea for the prostitution charge.

Which in most cases comes with 12 mth probation, inpatient drug treatment, then this horrible diversion program, the PRIDE program, which concentrates on telling providers they are nothing with prostitution, they are labeled trafficking victims and treated as criminals. OH AND A GAG ORDER so those charged with prostitution are no allowed to talk about their case. (um what? Why? Oh wait...I know.)

The entire process is destroying families.

So again...since you are so knowledgeable please join me for the PRIDE court proceedings. See how it works for yourself.

Just because the law says? Did you read the article at all?

Now, if a hooker is busted on her first offense, or second, with no other crimes involved, she most likely would get a slap on the wrist.

1. I didn't add any crimes bambino. The cops do that all by themselves. 52% of all prostitution arrests (2017/2018 I think? It's in the article) had the added "instrument of crime" to it.
OVER HALF!

2. I have no idea if the judge is a member here. I am speaking strictly about the PRIDE court proceedings, in which the judge is kinda a public figure. Which has nothing to do with outting anyone. The convo is about prostitution arrest, not who hobbyists are.

I mean, like...don't judges kinda have to register or something, like seriously bambino, could you help me figure out who all the judges, like, are here in AllIGWEeNIE county cause I'm to stoopud to figure it out.

But hey thanks for chiming in.

AGAIN, I invite you to come see, first hand...with your own eyes.

BTW...information on arrests/convictions are difficult to get in PA. 280 prostitution charges pulled will cost hundreds if not thousands, plus all the paperwork that needs done with it.

The above kinda makes your "post your links" comment show exactly how little you know about how the system ACTUALLY works here in Allegheny County.
