Before anyone thinks Amyl Nitrite sounds like a good idea, read over what it does again in the previous posts and think about what can go wrong. Like... popping a blood vessel in the brain or eyes due to the significantly increased blood pressure. It's a big risk for a bit of a thrill. You could wind up like one of those athletes who dies on the playing field not knowing they had internal defects just waiting to put them down. On the upside though, I guess you would go out with a smile.

While there are several adverse side effects of amyl nitrite and other inhalant nitrites, they cause a dilation of blood vessels which leads to a drop in blood pressure, even though they briefly increase heart rate. However, because of the increase in heart rate, they can cause a heart arrhythmia.

Amyl nitrite was used in the 70’s by the folks at Studio 54 in NYC to get the crowd hopping and loving on each other. The crap is bad news and will cause heart arrhythmias in most folks ater they recover from the drop in BP. I can see why the queer population would use it due to the short term rush and the smooth muscle relaxation they get which fits with their lifestyle.
