Do you have the statistics for FEDERAL government?
I have a chart that shoes the NUMBER of FEDERAL government employees increasing each year 2008, 2009, and 2010. The chart did not show the results for 2011 but I will bet there is an increase in 2011 also.
The fact that the states are cutting government jobs in reaction to the lose of revenue due to the Obama economy is something I would also applaud. It seems that some states have the common sense to make cuts when they don't have the money. This is something the FEDERAL government should learn.

I really do not think you can show me anything that will prove that the total employment of the United States FEDERAL government has decreased during the Obama administration.

Hope you didn't put too much effort into it.

But since you brought it all up, the idea of not being able to afford the jobs that the public sector is shedding...

Total private jobs:

Bush:
  • At "trough" (July 2003): 108,232,000
  • 25 months later (August 2005): 112,311,000
  • Plus 4,079,000 jobs, for a percentage increase of 3.77%.
  • An average of 163,160 private sector jobs were added each month during those 25 months.

Obama:
  • At "trough" (February 2010): 106,773,000
  • 25 months later (March 2012): 110,824,000
  • Plus 4,051,000 jobs, for a percentage increase of 3.79%
  • An average of 162,040 private sector jobs were added each month during those 25 months
We get it CJ; you are with your soul mate Obama on the concept of "the private sector is doing fine"...............

LOSER !

That kite won't fly come election time. Get over it. Even noted Democratic strategists James Carville is warning you to get off the subject of the economy and jobs if you want to have any chance of winning !

Your a dumb one CJ. Nobody is buying Obama's bullshit on the state of the economy. We all know it is bad, maybe getting worse. Obama has presided over the worse recovery in 60 years ! The economy is a loser for Obama.

WHY IN THE FUCK DO YOU OBAMA IDIOTS KEEP TRYING TO DEFEND HIM ON THE ECONOMY ??????????
ARE YOU THAT FUCKING RETARDED ????????

you call it the Bush recession I call it the Democrat recession.
Who controlled congress starting in January of 2007?
Another two more years and nothing got better and the debt continued to rise.
Two more years and the Republicans capture the house but not the Senate and things still are not much better. The Dems still control the senate and the Executive branch.

A reminder, Had it not been for the creation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, there never would have been a derivatives market.

I don't think Andrew Sullivan and Bruce Bartlett are news people. They routinely spin for Obama. Ask the poor slobs on the street who can't find work due to government intervention what they think of the charts and graphs. Make sure you hospitalization is paid up first.

Maybe there's a good reason.

Hows 'bout we ask the poor slobs on the street who LOST their jobs due to austerity?
Q. How do you downsize government workers?

A. Hire midgets. Everything will cost less because it will all be mini sized.

Man - you guys need to lighten up. This is a hooker board. If you have a political or religious perspective in your handle, you're just missing out on all the fun. Or maybe I'm missing something? *turns on CNN, changes it to FOX, Now MSNBC, turns it off and starts surfing porn* Nah...never mind. I'm not missing anything.

So if spending causes a recession how can you spend your way out of a recession?
