There's always cliques in any community, but that doesn't change the fact that their existence alienates some members and brings hard feelings to others. Sadly our community has been flailing for almost a year now despite efforts to encourage a more "open" dialog whether parties agree to disagree or not. It's ugly at times, but truths revealed and wraths exhausted are all part of the healing process. I prefer "healing" to "grieving".

Party on... w/ limited membership if you must. Maybe there should be some more effort made by excluded members to participate in other gatherings to increase their odds of being included in future cross-clique activities.

Kat, you and I get along just fine face to face. I'm sorry if you feel you need to get on here and fuel this negative energy.

People have a right to throw a party and invite whoever they want. Period. If you were a client of mine you would have been invited. Not everything is always going to be open to the entire board.

I have offered to throw a toy party and offered that up to the entire board so how dare people get their panties in a bunch over ONE thing not announced to the public.

Let's not jump on each other. I didn't know this was a private gathering limited to specific provider/client group. That wasn't clear or didn't stick in my scanning of the thread. Perhaps a private email to those invited would have prevented this little misunderstanding.

Gosh Maxeen. I meant no offense. I think I got this "thanks" thread party mixed up with the possible "toy" party. I did send a PM about that one I believe, and never heard about it again, so please, pardon my confusion.

everything was done thru private emails. and as maxeen stated, so sorry that people feel the need to turn it into something that it's not.

private venue, limited space. that is just the way it was. you know there are more than just one 'party group' going on here. really, it shouldn't be that big of a deal.

we wanted to do something nice and fun for the ones who have been our support and that is what we did. i don't see any need to be bent out of shape just because they said thank you!

i do not apologize for the party or for the fact that we couldn't handle the entire board being invited. it is what it is. we had a good time, i am sorry that some feel that they were in some way intentionally 'left out'. it was not the case.

i dont' see snide remarks being made about other gatherings based on who and who isnt' there. let's just try to have some fun, no matter where it may be. i am sure that in the end there will be enough parties and gatherings to go around and suit every one's tastes.

i know that there are those with motives who will always try to tear down anything positive that happens base solely on the fact that they don't like so-n-so. it's futile, and only serves to make you look petty.

so i would like every one to go back to trying to have fun!! that is why we are here.
