I don't know if he was under oath but part of his later statement was that he thought the gunfire was coming from outside the school which why he didn't go inside. However, the radio call he made had him saying the shots were INSIDE the school. Also, the video has him facing towards the school at not at the perimeter. If he wasn't under oath he was still a public employee. His retirement should never have happened and he should have lost his job.

Sadly he's a scapegoat for the gov's failures LE , School , Odumboos school policy's , mental illness
He should have at looked for the shooter , piss poor training , he wanted to be a cop you go toward danger .

I THINK I would have tried like hell to avoid the draft when I was 18 - 25. It takes a real man to admit his shortcomings and past failures.

I agree that there were govt mistakes at the Federal, state and local level. There were also mistakes by the school, law enforcement and mental health officials. Hardly any of these people are being identified and disciplined both as individuals and as organizations. But let's take away everyone's gun.
