My steakhouse litmus test - order a manhattan. If they immediately ask you "what kind of rye do you want", you're at a good one. If they have Whistle Pig - you've struck gold.

PS - at Killen's in Pearland, they have a Whistle PIg Rye that is casked just for Ronnie. Just sayin'.

What about around medical center are NRG stadium, anything good close?

B&B Butchers or Georgia James. Only one that comes close is Pappas.

Side note. Hilton Panama has a Ruth's Chris onsite. Not quite as good as home. Likely sold brand rights. Too many good Brazilian Steakhouses in Panama to recommend but nice for staying onsite. That said, it had been too long for a relevant reply but RC Houston was awesome back then.

Lorenzos makes a awesome steak but defiently not your longhorn or saltgrass budget steaks.. expect a minimum $$bill meal.

Ive had the worst steaks ever more than once at Taste of Texas.
