The funny thing about the Hollies is that their two best songs,(IMHO) were not recorded by all original members.
" He Ain't heavy... was recorded after Gram Nash left and joined up with Crosby and Stills
Long Cool Woman... was in part written by Allan Clarke, but was recorded and released after he left the band for his solo career.
After Clarke Returned the did have another hit with The Air That I Breathe
