This goes back to population control. Unfortunately more people are needed to pay more taxes. Our system is structured like a pyramid scheme.

The wealthy in America get screwed by the income tax. They pay at much higher rates.

The top 1% of taxpayers pay 38.5% of the income tax. They pay at an average 27% tax rate compared to 4% for the bottom 50%:

Included in Property taxes are Women's protectors, the Police. They pass on the cost of allowing women to be equal to all those who live in the same area. The reason is Proctor and Gamble has increased sales per kid. And PnG hires lobbyists/senators/congressmen to write the tax code.

I'm more of a "18% flat tax, no credits or deductions" type.

I'm for free markets, low regulations and small government... but i want my government to regulate the energy markets to keep prices affordable for working families, pass the costs on to the wealthy and create a government program to do it. I think we need to restructure how corporations and holdings work, ideally we wouldn't tax corporations, but people.

One of the concepts that the US was founded on, and patriots spilled blood for, was that taxation comes with the social contract that one receives representation in return. I don't like the idea of corporations having government representation or having influence over the government as much as they currently do, but I don't think it's fair to deny them that while still taxing them.

Additionally, removing all of the above would help resolve the discussion of "corporate personhood". Frankly, I don't think a corporation should count as a person until you can execute one for treason.
