The Kennedy's were "meddling" in Cuban affairs. The Agency was fine with the status quo in Cuba BEFORE Castro. So was "organized crime" aka the Mafia.

Before Batista it was a great island with a strong economy. Their dollar was one to one with the US dollar. Then the cold war CIA hit on some of these ideas

Link? The CIA wasn't formed until 1947. Batista was already in power. Cuba became the largest producer of sugar during the 18 hundreds. But they've been in turmoil during their history. Always struggles for power.
