Trump could have put on a defense at the original trial but chose not to. Why bother to argue now about whether he's liable? He didn't want to defend himself and was found to be a sexual assaulter by a jury. Then he was found to have defamed Carrol by calling her a liar.

See that's how it works. There's these things called trials where you get to put on evidence. It differs from posting shit online and on twitter and making claims where you don't have to be under oath. Choices. Trump chose to not testify at trial on liability and he's continuing to lose over and over because he keeps defaming Carrol.

They can appeal all they want. The number may go down but it'll still be 10s of millions. And she’ll collect the money. It's one think to collect a million dollars from someone without holdings that can pay the judgment. It's far easier to seize property from someone with holdings. This appeal should be resolved in 6-7 months since it's limited to the value of the punitive damages.
