Obama called Afghanistan the good war during the campaign and his big mouth painted the US into a corner. Even if he couldn't leave Barry could still not support his generals with immediate aid. Obama had to tapdance around for 100 days until forced to make a decision. That decision was to lose the war but not just yet. He wanted to wait until 2014 to lose the war so he could get reelected at the cost of needless US lives wasted.
