$4500.00 Wow. A friend was a photographer but it does seem a little high. Now that everything is digital it should be easier than the days of film. To be honest just go to get your hair done and put on some make-up. Most smart phones do a fantastic job these days. Imitate some of the shots that you might see on a big agencies website. Have someone with a decent eye take some photos. Look them over and see how they turned out. Worst thing that can happen is you spend a little time. If they aren't to your liking, then spend the big bucks.
