To see a dog in your dream symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. The dream dog may also represent someone in your life who exhibits these qualities. Alternatively, to see a dog in your dream indicates a skill that you may have ignored or forgotten. If the dog is vicious and/or growling, then it indicates some inner conflict within yourself. It may also indicate betrayal and untrustworthiness. If the dog is dead or dying, then it means a loss of a good friend or a deterioration of your instincts.

To dream that a dog bites you on the leg suggests that you have lost your ability to balance aspects of your life. You may be hesitant in approaching a new situation or have no desire to move forward with your goals. Alternatively, it symbolizes disloyalty.

To see a happily barking dog in your dream symbolizes pleasures and social activity. You are being accepted into some circle. If the dog is barking ferociously, then it represents your habit of making demands on people and controlling situations around you. Are you "barking" too many orders? Alternatively, it could also indicate unfriendly companions.

To see a dog chasing its tail or running around in circles in your dream implies that you are not handling a situation in an effective way. You are spending too much time on fruitless labor.

To dream that you are buying a dog indicates your tendency to buy your friends or buy compliments and favors. Alternatively, it suggest a need for you to find companionship. If you are being guided by a dog, then it suggests that you are having difficulties in navigating out of a situation or problem.

To dream that you give or send your dog away indicates that the decisions and choices you are making now may be misinterpreted as disloyalty. You have to do what is right for you and not worry about what others think of the decision. Alternatively, it signifies rejection of friendship.

To dream that you are dressing up your dog signifies your attempts to cover up your own character flaws and habits.

To see a black colored dog in your dream symbolizes the shadow aspect of a friend. The dark side of someone close to you is being revealed and you are able to see through to their true intentions.

To dream that a dog is eating a snake implies that a close friend is trying to prevent you from making a bad decision.

To see a dog with two heads in your dream means that you are hyper vigilant about your surroundings. On the other hand, the dream may also mean you need to be more aware of what is around you.

Also consider the notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog".

I'm not superstitious either, but interesting corollary to some of my values and traits.
Btw, I don't buy dogs. I rescue them. And when I dress them up, it's just for pure hilarity. (Although some people might see it as passive-aggressive animal abuse.) My dogs like the attention and the treats they get when in cute costumes. Hmmm.... again, a corollary to Mommy and her RenFest costumes. Hmmm...

I dream of smiling dogs with little angel wings. "Dog" spelled backwards is "God." Guess I think my pooches past are with God and happy. They certainly deserve to be for their devotion and love. I miss them.

I think you were just hungry and horny, YM.

I once dreamt I was a butterfly, flying around here and there. I was aware only of my existence as a butterfly and not conscious of myself. I woke up eventually. Now I do not know whether I was a man dreaming I was a butterfly or if I am now a butterfly dreaming I am a man.

My reoccurring dream for over a decade: I am in a car that is out of control wothour a driver. I have to climb over the seats to get in the driver seat. Whwn I gwt there, the pedals are all messed up. The brakes barely work. My feet can't reach the pedals.

I know I know, it's a dream about stress and control. This dream is exhausting, but I rarely ever run into anything, so it usually turns out okay in the end.

I didn't want to share this one but fuck it. I remember this dream so vividly because it was so violent. I was 14 when I had it and never told anyone in my family about it. I dreamed my entire family both sides was at a family reunion. Everything was great and this wonderful song was playing in the background.

Next thing you know someone started complaining about Aunt Cassie's potato salad. Before I knew it there was a full scale war going on and everyone started shooting cross-bows at each other with drug needles on the end of them. I was sitting high up in one of those tennis match judge chairs and taking count of who fell and how many people were left on each side. People tried shooting arrows at me and I would just catch them and snap them in half. When it was over I was the lone survivor and then I woke up.
