The articles (alright. insert joke here!) were really good back in the day. I'm guessing they still are.

I had a subscription to the magazine for a few years here and there. I'm not even bi, but I always thought the ladies featured were completely lovely with really, no exceptions.

But Playboy always billed itself as a lifestyle rag just as much as the magazine promoted beautiful images of females.

Last year, for grins, I did a Kindle purchase of a Stephen King interview when he was just becoming famous. From the 80's, if I remember right.

The interview was just a wonderful read.

There is a mini-series about Hugh Hefner on Amazon Prime. It's a Prime show and I watched it this past summer.

I recognize that for many, Hefner was a predator. But I simply do not view the person in that fashion.

Perhaps you should pick up an old copy, or look up some of the old interviews, and read it sometime.

Playboy was popular for articles, for the Playboy Advisor (so witty!), cartoons, etc.

Playboy wasn't just popular for the centerfold.

My opinion, only.

I do find this centerfold segue to be interesting, though. And (very!) unexpected.

I'm assuming that, since it's Playboy, that she'll be stunningly beautiful, incredibly feminine, and that it will go a long way to change people's perceptions of transgender women. Originally Posted by Crock

I wonder how infirm he got before he died?

I had read, for years, that when he went into public, he had to have help to walk and would prop up against others.

Not sure how much in charge of his facilities he was towards the end. Surely, his main editorial staff did all of that type of decision making in the end.

But heck, I have no idea.

Really appreciate the comments! Has the issue been released yet?

I can appreciate them being all inclusive on this, yet I'm not mature enough to purchase it and not think about the horror that goes into making their penis into a vagina.

Their is the correct adjective in this case, right?

I've had personal dealings with pre-op transsexuals or individuals who decided to keep their penis but make the change in other ways.

I've never "seen" a post op transsexual but I've heard having that surgery is really a difficult process.

Some mornings, I'm so grateful I'm hetero.

(Not to make light of such a serious issue for some!)

I don't think that a lot of men could, or would wish to, envision having their penis removed.

I mean mature in the context of being mentally liberal enough to look or think of a transgendered person as anything more than a "chick with a dick" or a "guy with tits".

Like how a person doesn't mind gay people as long as it is not their son or daughter.

I can work with a LGBT person well enough at work and know to keep my mouth shut about it was Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Steve.

^^^^^^^^^^^Yupper why we are here , As for playboy - back in the stone age before internet all boys growing up "looked" at the skin magazines. Now I guess its just the sign of the times, was going to happen sooner or later.
