Pls don't go to fernandos at city line... Horrible food and over priced. Easy better Mexican restaurants in town. Originally Posted by sxtdr3243

Richardson has ridiculous amount and variety of restaurants for how small of a city it is. The majority aren’t chain restaurants.

Chinese - Kirin Court
Middle Eastern - Afrah
BBQ- Ten50
Pizza - Industrial
Burger - Dels
Mexican/Tex Mex - Mena’s
Peruvian - Tineo
Brazilian - Villas
Japanese - Masami
Ramen - Monta
Thai - NoodleWave
Brewery - Four Bullet or Lockwood

All are excellent

The OP mentioned "mom and pop", so 2 really small restaurants that are unusual:

Burnt at 2929 custer rd in Plano - tacos and BBQ (not fast food)

Bella Flan on Arapaho in Richardon (near Tom Thumb) - Cubano cuisine (not for everyone) - street sandwiches with plantanos chips. I go there for the Flan.
