You know what? I have said it before on these boards and I will say it again. The Texas law we're arguing about was designed to do one thing: shut down abortion clinics, it has shit to do with women's health. Why don't all of you just acknowledge that and we will have the fight with that understanding? You remember, right? The truth? Instead, the State of Texas advances outright lies about the purpose of the law...claiming it is all about women's health.....winking all the while at the conservative courts that have considered the legal issues presented.....
I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to have a court that appears to be ready to call bullshit on that argument. Note the 5-4 majority that stayed the 5th Circuit Order. That will be the same majority that will recognize this disingenuous, lying, deceptive, Roe v. Wade-dodging legislation for what it is.
And, every one of you with a functioning brain pan knows it.
My questions would be less legal than factual and procedural.
I've used "mother" as a shorthand for pregnant woman undergoing an abortion.
What is an admitting privilege and how difficult is it for a doctor to acquire it for a local hospital?
What's the difference between an abortion that has gone poorly for the mother who is in need of urgent additional medical care dictated by the abortion doctor -or- the doctor picking up the phone and calling an ambulance for her?
How many deaths of the mother has resulted from "botched" legal abortions by year in Texas for the past 10 years?
How many additional hospitalizations have occurred for the mother from legal abortions by year in Texas for the past 10 years?
In other news, WTF really needs to take a logic class.
