Talked to one of the dancers at BDD. They plan (as of last night-Saturday) to stay open and fight it. At least that’s what the managers are telling dancers Originally Posted by oklohomaJoe

Pretty bold strategy - I am glad they are pushing back. Originally Posted by friendly fredBold yes, smart I don't know. Also even with a court win, I would say being open against local public health orders will be more than enough to get their SOB licenses reviewed in the future.

Fighting to just stay open seems like cutting off the nose to spite the face. Yes, there is some money to be made, but it's not what it was and won't be for a while. If Burch is really profitable I would think he'd pick his battles a bit better and not just try to openly defy city ordinances at this stage of the pandemic.
I am far from a COVID doomsday person, but if you had to ask me one business that probably be shut down in the current COVID situation, it is strip clubs and night clubs. I don't see this ending well for the clubs when all is said and done. Remember if the clubs are punished or persecuted in the future for this, there will be no protestors, etc coming to their defense. Strip club clientele likes to act like they are upstanding members of society, and would never stand up for these clubs in public. The public is never outraged about a SOB being shut down.
