What happened to the flowers?

... they asked what the heck they were supposed to do with them as other guys would be upset knowing another guy got them to her. Originally Posted by EasyLover214

Ze I'll have to let you check out the book you would also enjoy it.

Old Grump thank you for your response, I'm glad a lady will have a smile on her face because of me and my thread

I figured ungrateful providers was the reason for the gradual decline in little gifts...

I know it's a little corny of a saying but really it's the thought that counts.

Dallas, I love all flowers but tulips and roses are my favorite. As EL214 stated I also list that I love houseplants because they live forever (as long as you take care of them lol) my incall apt does not get much natural light so I have not brought any of my plant babies over in fear of killing them. Maybe I'll get some faux ones

I am single and I do not really have time to date due to me working long overnight hours at my full time gig so I really love and appreciate the romance factor of things, this seems to have been lost as far as guys my age and younger anyway, at least from my experiences. I guess I am old fashioned like that

Thank you all for your responses
OK, I know I've been posting some bullshit and bullshit busting lately, but this is true. Back in the ASPD days when dinosaurs were busy making disposable lighters, this topic came up and more than a few WIMMIN chimed in saying that dudes carrying flowers through a hotel lobby, or an apartment complex in the middle of the day, or at a private incall, especially more than one a day, was a dead giveaway for illicit activity. It was even stated that in certain high rise 5 stars the maids were instructed in whatever their native language was to take note of "ladies" who were in possession of an inordinate amount of flowers and seemed to be burning candles in the room. I know this because I knew a lady named Sabrina who had auburn hair and skin like fine china and....I digress. Anyway she stayed in one of those places and had the scoop. The bellmen, who were also instructed in their native languages to keep an eye out for guys with flowers going to the same room told her what was up, because all she had to do was that woman eyelash thing and they melted and carried her shit down the service elevator before the cops came. See, the maids weren't so easily swayed.

So that's when I heard flowers were out. For a while Kindle and ebook gift cards were a hit, and then we got this new crop of illiterate hookers (go ahead, I can take it) and now, who knows what to bring? I've done everything from software installation and instruction to (how fabulous I am) strategic and awe inspiring ass massages to free pay it forward old laptops. Because I'm so swell. This would be a more helpful thread if the title was "What Hookers Want For Session Gifts" cause flowers are so old school. Plus they die. Plants, on the other hand, that's a thought. Flowers, like birds and naked wimmin, belong in the wild where, nourished by sunshine and love, they can flourish. Fuck, I couldn't help myself.

That's where all the flowers have gone...uh oh..folk song moment...god help me...not John Denver...NOOOOOOOOOO

In my opinion, flowers are given to a lady for a few reasons, but to keep in line with the hobby aspect, first impressions or perhaps on subsequent sessions because besides tipping monetarily, a guy like to go over and above to let the provider know he really enjoys his time with her. As far as why guys do not bring flowers, sometimes, a guy thinks flowers are part of a necessary means of seducing a woman for sexual favors, but realize that in the hobby world, the donation is all he needs to bring as no seduction skills are necessary.
The first couple of times I took the providers gifts based on why their websites said. One did not seem to realize that she had put down the fragrance I brought as a request, another just put her favorite drinks down (I brought a case of Pepsi, red bulls, and a Starbucks GC) and it did not seem like a big deal at all. This takes time for me to do that and it just did not get the response I thought it'd have. Now I typically just tip instead. Figure money is probably better and definitely easier. One provider called me up and told me I overpaid her, that was cool, I told her I knew that and thanks for her time. She was appreciative. That's the only provider thats acknowledged the tip. No big deal, I do it just because. But you asked the question.

Haha yeah I guess that makes sense Phildo, especially for hotel and higher volume ladies hell even when it did used to happen it was occasional. (It could be weird for someone to come by and ask who died) lol

Hell there are many ways to be creative in gift giving to providers... We always could use stuff for our incalls as most of the time they are a secondary place for us. Candles, nice bedsheets, mirrors, sex toys, gift cards/massage certificates and lingerie (a girl can never have too much/many of those things.

It's just nice to be thought of period no matter what it is.

I have a fairly regular guy who always leaves my donation in cute little thank you cards and it always makes me

Another's wife is really big into couponing like it was taking over their garage and guest rooms so every time he came by he would bring me 5 of everything just to get rid of it... Lol
Some of us still bring the romantic gifts. I have a signature gift I always bring. I used to try and find a nice antique book of romance or poetry until I accidentally bought one back on eBay from the same lady I gave it to. My current gift is a bit more generic, but more often appreciated.

I was reading the thread about bringing drinks into session and it got me to thinking...

The hobby has changed a lot even in the last few years since I have been around.

Long gone are the days when my incall was filled with fresh flowers from clients. Hell I used to have more flowers than I had vases for.

I remember when I first started, Even on BP Guys would almost always bring a small and thoughtful gift whether it would be flowers, candy, a bottle of wine, a nice thoughtful card, or a gift card. Some would actually take the time to read my showcase to see what my likes or dislikes were or remembered something I mentioned during session, and bring something that would make me smile big.

Receiving those little gifts would always make me feel awesome. Yes they were not expensive gifts all the time but the fact that they did something to make me feel special was all that mattered to me.

I have talked to a few other providers about this and they all have said that those days are long gone for them also...

I am just wondering what happened to the romance part of this hobby?? Where have all the BFE guys gone? Did ungrateful providers ruin it for the rest of us??

By no means am I saying this is a requirement or saying that I am disappointed if someone does not bring anything. I am just saying that that used to be one of my favorite parts of the hobby. Every woman loves to feel special even if it is for an hour at a time Originally Posted by Jules Jaguar

Most of the time I leave a thank you card / note. Flowers are a bit too attention attracting to carry around. My ATFs are going to be well remembered at Christmas and that's all I'm saying.

I did have a lady recently give me a small gift. It sits in my desk at work with other things I've been given.

Yes many of you ladies deserve better. I too will try to be better.

I love that feeling when a guy takes the time to bring me a gift. It makes me feel so spoiled and lucky. Things like that really put a smile of my face and I can't help appreciate men like that.

:-)
jules, i like your attitude. bet you are a real pleasure to be around!!!!

And all this time I thought my penis and donation was enough?...lol

True story from the ManSlut Files:

About 5 years ago there was a 24 year old young lady I used to see every 2-3 months. My last visit with her was at the Westin Galleria. I knew going in I was to be her last appt. that day, she had a child, yada yada...We chilled for a bit after the fun, took a shower together, she asked if I would stay till she got dressed and help carry her stuff to her car. As we were about to head to the door I told her she was forgetting this beautiful bouquet of 2 dozen red & yellow roses in a vase from an earlier client. She went over and chunked them in the trash, vase and all, turned around and said, "Ok, let's go." I never saw her again, my choice, because of that, even when she was hurting for money, discounting and begging me to see her. That was just low class to me.

I fucking LOVE books! #jealous

I think it is harder to give gifts lately. Most men aren't into this for more than the one hour activity list.

Those that DO want to keep a girls attention longer than the hour often tend to bring something special. There are still some out in the verse...

Fav gifts for me recently -
-$10 socks. thigh high and fucking amazing! I be Jammin!
-a 10$ plastic figurine that sits on my mantle- reminds me of a special time I shared with someone.
-a $30 goldfish necklace for celebrating an achievement of mine. Blurb Blurb Blurb!
-a stock of coffee and tea YUM, especially since we share it together mostly.
-an extra bill$ tossed my way "for thrifting" (I bought so many damn thrift shirts!)
-new guts for my beast machine. *jilling off*

I often don't find much value in gifts given to me on the first meeting, unless they are a bit more thoughtful than flowers. Then again, I am not in this for the one hour activity list either lately.

Guys deep down like treating a chicka special. They want to please us and feel special or desired in return. We want to feel valued as well beyond the fleshdoll.

Side note- if a girl keeps a small gift list, with things ranging from $5-100... (books being my fav thing) I find those things tend to show up more than not.

Wanna know the hard part... giving gifts in return.. What the fuck can we send with you that you can take home or leave on your desk at work, without raising eyebrows? My go to, is lunch. If I really like ya, I will buy you lunch. Originally Posted by ~Ze~

Now, I do bring regulars gift cards from time to time, but never flowers...Of course cut flowers die, so what, it's their color, beauty and scent that liven a room for a short time, but I always envision them dropped in a hotel room trash can when I think of buying them for a provider.
It's the little thoughtful things that count.
Allows us to feel real. For a moment.

I'm in awe when it happens..
In the real world flowers and gifts are giving.. So I cherish them

Have a few I've dried and look at to remember..

Books... Ohhh yeah I'm on the same page..
Reading takes me away and allows me to be creative. SOME times they give me pointers..hehe

The Scent of a woman is different for each of us. Something that turns someone elses head may turn others away.. If given a chance to wear something a friend would like that they give.. It's always a reminder of a time that brings back great memories!!
