Depends, but usually a nightmare.

It's really not difficult to replace one. Read the instructions. Watch the self-help videos on the web. Then, disconnect the drain pipe, dishwasher hose & electrical cord (many are just plugged in to an outlet). Unscrew the collar on the bottom of the sink with the Z wrench and catch it. Reverse the procedure to install the new one. You do not need to replace the mount. Takes about 30m-1hr, depending on how many beers you drink between start and finish.

Or, collect the donation. Show him the kitchen. Wait till his hands are full of disposal. And....

Extremely easy. You have one of your employees call a plumber and have The same employees meet him at your place to get it done. Then have the employee give him your AmEx when he’s done. If there’s a problem, have them call you. Took me about a minute to do last year.

Just helped my mom fix hers last night. It was decently easy! It was only a repair, so to replace it I would estimate about 2-3 hrs. Make sure you have a basic tool set, screwdriver mainly. Watch a few vids and go to the company website to see if you even HAVE to replace it, you may just have a piece that needs to be replaced. Which they sell on their website or amazon has one day shipping. Good luck!!

As long as your old garbage disposal has an actual plug going into a wall socket, then it should be easy. If some goofball hardwired the power for it, then you need professional help.

I'm mechanically declined, but changing out the garbage disposal is a job I've done in my home.
