Honest Question

A "Hoogar" is special. She is someone guys want to see and develop somewhat of a relationship with.

A "Hooker" is mostly in it for the money...like Claire says...shes wants to be a Hooker.

Looks like 2015 is going to be a lot like 2014 here! Originally Posted by Toyz

Just call me John. Or Trick. Or Punter. As long as I'm having fun, I don't care.

My highly reliable dictionary tells me the correct term is...

I prefer the term hooker, thankyouverymuch.

Since I've experienced most of what the ladies have to offer I've generally adopted using the label of PFP (Pay for Play) Girls. Covers dancers, FBSM and full service.

With all due respect, I think what you said is bullshit. Do you think that your customers want a "sensual escape amid the stress of daily life" I think they just want to jerk off, pay less, and not have a full intercourse. Originally Posted by fbsm07

Re-naming tends to work more obliquely. I believe the process of re-naming occurs to counter the surrounding connotations, when they are negative and not necessarily even connected to the definition/function of said term.

I personally don't care. It's not the word that really matters to me; it's how its used. Words are arbitrary, but intent is not.
Did you want to discuss semantics or slut shame prostitutes?

I will do X for y= prostitution (more chance for John & Jane to go to jail).

My time is B for X amount of time = escort (Grey area. Less chance of jail time).

Otherwise, call me wtf ya want if makes you feel better, honey.

I will speak only for myself here... it just strikes a chord. I for sure have an issue with my career choice. Hell yea there is shame involved. As much as I may put on ,the reality is the minute myself or any girl on here gets called a prostitute I get pissed. Maybe its putting a name on something I dont want to believe myself to be. I dunno , I was never a psych major. All I can say is personally it jst strikes a chord.
Btw, here is the dictionary definition for the word prostitute "woman who engages in sexual intercourse for money" Originally Posted by fbsm07

That being said I wonder what term applies to providers who provide non-intercourse sexual services?

Based upon the dictionary definition all Eccie ladies may be providers but not all providers are prostitutes.

All triads are chords but not all chords are triads. The musicians here understand that

It has such a negative ring to it. And it shouldn't be that way. It's 2015 almost. Everyone still hates whores and that is what is upsetting to me. They think we are all drug addicted, alcoholic dysfunctional victims or don't contribute to society.

In all honesty, it's kind of empowering. You work part-time hours for anywhere from 40k to 100k. You get to spend more time with your kids as you are not off working 5 jobs and never around to raise them. If you are smart and yes some prostitutes are smart. It allows a pathway to the American dream.

Then there are those who hate us for that too! Being a hooker is so hard!! Sigh.
