The recommendation of a licensed dietitian for me to loose weight was to eliminate the alcohol as much as possible. It was recommended that I should cut out all alcohol during the week, and think of it as just a treat for the weekend. It worked, I lost 30 pounds. Alcohol is considered to be one of the things to have "empty calories".

Alcohol is a depressant, though, causing listlessness (for me anyway). When I worked my tail off physically, alcohol didn't have any effect on my weight, but evening alcohol and office work does.
That being said, and to make this on topic, going to the outhouse without shareable alcohol leads to loneliness. lol.
Just for context, I don't go there when it is busy.
It'd be nice to keep some updates going on the local clubs.
