Seafood Shack on NW Hwy. Great ceviche', mexican shrimp cocktails and a wonderful jalapeno/cucumber margarita.
Maple and Motor, over by Parkland, great burger.
Lee Harveys, just south of I-30 off downtown. Cool courtyard/patio, can bring your dogs, they do great burgers and tacos, and tuesday night is half price burger night.
La Acapulquena on the corner of E Grand Ave and Graham in east Dallas, amazing mexican food
Raymonds BBQ on Garland Rd in east Dallas, just past Easton

There is a Mobile station located at the corner of Harry Hines and Northwest Highway.

As you face the entrance to the building, to the right is a hole in the wall of the building. Inside that wall is normally two ladies, obviously from Mexico, that are cooking up small beef and pork fajitas to go. They push the goods right out the hole/window. Might have some other stuff in there as well but I've only bought the fajitas.

Now this stuff is cheap and good at the same time. They have the extras that go on these flour or corn tortillas, including salsa, limes, jalapeņos, etc. I think they cost maybe $1.25 or $1.50 a piece. Reminds me a little of this food truck on Santa Monica Blvd. in LA that gets nice write ups in the LA Times from time to time.

If you ever drive by there and see this ugly ass Gringo standing inline behind the Mexican guys - wave, it's probably me!
I love Jimmy's great shopping too

Good-to-Go Taco in Garland.
Fred's in Ft. Worth. Used to be a hole in the wall until they built the patio. The cheese fries all the way are the best anywhere. Puts Snuffers to shame. Plus THE coldest beer in the Metroplex.

I love these threads. I always like to discover little gems in all the cities.
Come to the Bishop Arts District, Alyssa. The population is mostly Mexicans from Mexico and you can find some AMAZING Mexican food here. Have you tried a Torta yet? Originally Posted by Kayleehotchick

Actually it's Davis and Cedar Hill Ave... North Oak Cliff. Used to be two blocks from me.

Another winner, especially for the lunch special Tues - Fri, on Westmoreland @ Canada Dr in the little shopping strip - Snappy's Catfish. 2 catfish filets, 2 sides, Texas toast $5.99 and it IS good..
