Heading to Pittsburgh :: Anyone know of any great places to eat

Jeez...did anyone actually READ her request? CRANBERRY and MONROEVILLE!!
I second "off the Hook". It's not in Cranberry but really close. There is a pretty good Italian place right beside it, but I can't remember the name.
Monroeville kinda sucks for restaurants. May have to do a chain restaurant there. Originally Posted by Charley3

Juniper Grill is also pretty decent for an American restaurant.

If you like Asian fusion, go to Jimmy Wans...it's tremendous.
Green Forest churrascaria in Monroeville is decent. It's all you can eat with several different kinds of meat.

There isn't anything approaching world class food in Cranberry. Firebirds is mediocre chain food with spotty service. Off the hook can be hit or miss on the food, when they hit it's good. Arguably, the best done meal at any price point in Cranberry at present is Mission Mahi (taco food truck with a fix location now on Rowan Rd). If you like Italian, Il Pizzaiolo isn't bad. If you want to really eat well, get in an uber and head into town (and I'd recommend Butcher and the Rye and/or Meat and Potatoes if you enjoy meat). Originally Posted by tannana

I’m pretty sure the same family owns The Iron Bridge, Rachel’s, Springfields and the Log Cabin. All solid if not spectacular. I prefer meats cooked with wood. That’s why I like Firebirds. Something different, if not spectacular.

Springfield Grill has good food! If you like ribs the sports bar in front of Quaker Steak & Lube has really good ones. Not sure of the name though and be hungry cause they're huge!

Apparently the only good thing in Monroeville is the OP.
