Alright, if you guys can click around and let me know.

It's stopped for Simon so the fix should be working. If it's still persisting, it may be an isolated incident for a select group of people.. at which point I need to figure out what you guys may have in common causing this. I tried Safari, Yahoo and Chrome myself on PC and can't reproduce. Will try Mac next.

Just to clarify:
  • If it continues to occur randomly it is normal.
  • Evertime, it is not.

Right. At this point it definitely shouldn't happen every time, only periodically. We have different rates for both desktop and mobile.

Thanks for the help Simon!

I've been getting the pop-ups too, moving from one page to another and checking my PM's. It is VERY annoying.
I'm using Opera on my laptop.

Me too. It is particularly present almost constantly on mobile devices. I just about can't use ECCIE on an android device because the pop ups not only appear on every screen change, they seem very difficult to close.

I saw this thread and want to complain, and I'm not a complainer. It's just way too much.

Are you guys getting this both on a mobile device through eccie's mobile version?
For me, my laptop is wired, not portable. At the moment, anyway.

For me it is on laptops and tablets, both Windows and Android. Browser type seems irrelevant, and yes, it is in the "full" version, not mobile. It is also happening on the mobile version when accessing ECCIE via my Apple based smartphone.

It is particularly irritating when trying to access provider reviews. The only way to actually read a review on this Dell Windows 7 Professional laptop or on the Android based tablet is to hover over the review link, right click on the review and open it in a separate window. Otherwise, directly clicking on the review opens only the popup and it cannot be closed!

Help us out, please.
Using chrome on an Android and getting the pop up ads when I check my PMs.

This sucks! About to give up on this site.
It happens every click of every link of every forum.
Using Android with Chrome browser.
Too frustrating.

On my android ... might be only a work around ...

I open one browser window, any thread, doesn't matter and get the popup, leave that window open and,

Then I open another window and do all my browsing ther and zero popups in second window. Not sure how or why, but it works for me at any rate.
I re-installed google chrome on my laptop...its eems to be less of a problem today (unless the Eccie Tech guys did something) I was still getting pop ups on my Galaxy though.

It's been happening for a long time, just not as bad as it's been lately.

I use ad block plus and ublock origin add-ons, have it blocked in both... the pop-up screen still comes up, but at least it just shows that ublock has blocked it, so it doesn't show the content or make you acknowledge it when closing.

The owners apparently just don't give a shit that it annoys the hell out of it's users.
