when it comes at a bad time and I have to cancel, I always offer a discount off an hr rate in the future.

I think if its MN time they need to take that time off. I have no interest in doing providers who are experiencing MN time and expect them to have the professionalism to inform me of this fact when scheduling the session so I can opt out of it.
