When posting photos of people on here

Update! I did a check of a profile using IE which caches files that are very easy to find. When you click on a profile photo to enlarge it, the photo is not cached so a person cannot go into the temp internet file folder and copy the image file.

Screen captures using various programs and aps do not capture the metadata so you are safe there.

I challenge you to show proof contradicting what I have said else remain the uninformed BS artist you appear to be on here.

in other words PUT UP or SHUT UP

MODS: If any of you want to make this sort of thing a sticky I can create a nice write up that shows how to check one's own photos, how to alter them etc..

Where as using the mobile site on a PC to get to profile photos which DOES allow a user to Right click and save photos, the MetaData has been stripped.

It would seem that the ONLY time the METADATA is left in the photo is when a USER posts photos in a review, and the image is linked to an OUTSIDE hosting site, the METADATA is still embedded.

I tested this on various posts where photos were embedded in reviews and in forums in general and the above bears out true.

Linking photos from outside Eccie in a review or in a forum thread seems to allow the MetaData to be available.

Lincoln, I may be in the area at the end of this month.

I'd buy you a beer just to show my appreciation. This is good material to know.

UPDATE on how to strip the info from your photos.
1) convert them to the .PNG photo file format.

IrFanView can do this as well as other programs.. but this way there is no information in the photo.
