Come on man! This guy has been in this business for 100 years and he didn't know whether masks would be effective or not? Were masks effective on seasonal flu pre Covid? He admitted he was less than truthful because he wanted to protect the limited number of what he thought were the only effective masks available, the N95.

Tiny, this is so much more than whether he was less than truthful about masks. It's now about whether he lied about knowing of Gain of Function research in China. It's about whether he was less than truthful because doing so would "open up a can of worms" for himself and for the guy at ECCO Health who thanked Fauci in an e-mail for covering his ass with the "the best evidence shows it jumped form animal to human not from the lab" when the fact was they had no real evidence of either and still don't but now that Trump is gone "EVERYBODY" is connecting the dots.


Now that is a sad state of affairs that the MSM in this country, completely discounted something simply because it came from Trump and now that Trump is gone, is falling all over themselves to make it look, as Fauci is now doing, that they always thought the lab leak was a possibility when all the while what they were truly saying, was that it was a completely debunked conspiracy theory and would ruin anybody that said otherwise until now of course.

I'm watching the new version of the movie Midway. If the movie's right, after the Battle of the Coral Sea, the American admirals believed the next major Japanese naval offensive would be in the southwest Pacific. So that's where they were marshalling their resources. But based on intelligence intercepts they came to instead believe the target would be Midway. And so they withdrew resources from the southwest Pacific and sent aircraft carriers and other vessels towards Midway instead. Does that make the admirals liars? No, they were heroes. That's not true.

As to the herd immunity, I don't remember him saying anything unreasonable about that, and don't see why he'd have a reason to lie about it.

Fauci admits to lying to the public about masks, explaining he did so because the hospitals needed them, and nobody seems to have a problem with it. He should be canned for that alone afaic.

I see where he was advising people not to wear masks as late as March 8. If you've got a link to where he admits he was lying I'd be very curious to see it.

The CDC coming into this was advising people not to wear masks to avoid getting the flu. Presumably they'd have the same advice for coronaviruses. And that was when there was no shortage of masks. That's not to say that part of the reason for the advice was to try to discourage a run on masks by the public if something like the Spanish flu hit us.

He started out by saying we needed 60% of the population to be vaccinated or with antibodies to reach herd immunity. Then he said 70%, and at one point that number went up to 90%. When asked why he kept changing his answer, he said that he didn't want to alarm the public.

I was never really against people wearing masks. I'm mainly against lockdowns and the government enforcing masks and turning the country into a police state to enforce retarded CDC guidelines.
