Millions of single moms go to work every day and have figured out coverage for their children when a baby sitter does not show or the child gets sick. They have back up plans they have other people to do their job.Most of them do not make the money that providers make. So the kid thing is the easy thing they say because we are too feel bad for them. How do we know they even have a kid. This is a business and many times it is not treated like one. I am ok with a cancelation 24 hours or ever 12 hours but 2 to 3 hours seems not professional. It is not fair to the other providers because those funds did it get spent that night on anyone. My favorite is when you respond that you are very disappointed that they canceled less than 2 hours before the appointment they get mad at you.
It almost never happens with someone you see often it is more with some one who you are seeing for the first time. I think last min cancelations of 3 hours or less need to be put on their review board. The same goes for guys under time wasters. Once you have reporting you will have accountability. Now I have beat this dead horse again. Sorry if it got people upset. I am new to the board just trying to fix a problem. Cancellations are a big problem on both sides just as any your providers.
