What qualifies someone as a Diamond?

I think that they should all have to audition for PJ and me before earning the label. I could live with that!! Sort of a "bad housekeeping" stamp of approval from both sides of the political aisle. Originally Posted by TexTushHog

Would you two perform this BCD or out in the open like Obama promised?
The "auditions" with the ladies will definitely be BCD.

Why should I pay attention to any of Obama's campaign promises. He doesn't.
As noted, the diamond designation isn't about specific dollars per hour. It is all about attitude and personality.

What happens to me, in that I don't even own a Tux? Shall I banish myself now?

I can't drop $1k an hour. But those that I can afford I hope that we both make each other feel like queen and king.

Let me see if I can lighten the mood a little bit....Can I be a dusty diamond,
I am a lot older than you other ladies but I have 75 reviews on aspd in one years time....
And that is not bad for someone that only works (providing) from 6pm-10pm in the evenings...I also have a full time job during the day...

Now to the point in hand a woman should charge what she feels she is worth....And for the guys that don't understand that....That is why there is
such a wide variety of ladies and prices to fit your budget..... Everyone try to have a very Happy New Year...fawn
I must say, if a diamond does exist, it is indeed Ms. Fawn. The more I learn of you Fawn, the more similarities there are between us.

With regard to achieving diamond status, I think every lady must pay her dues. Several providers have to start somewhere in order to strengthen their reputation in the hobby. I was inducted into the hobby on May 17, 2009. I knew absolutely nothing about the hobby. Review after review, and within each review, men documented the adoraction they had for me, my kind heart, my intelligence, the bottle of Grey Goose I provided for them, the amazing BCD, accomodation, the 4 star hotels I book for incalls and attention to detail. It wasn't hard. I was just being myself and who I truly am outside of the hobby, but under the alias of "Angelina".

A seasoned hobbyist wants to see a girl with a good personality, character, intelligence and a sassy streak. How is this determined? Quality reviews. Several of them. Now, a woman with 200 reviews may not be a diamond by some standards, but let's say a girl with 35-70 solid 100% positive reviews which document her beautiful character, charm, wit, etc., well I'd argue that the girl has to be special in some regard.

Fawn hit the nail on the head when she stated that she acquired 75 reviews on ASPD in a one year period while maintaining a full-time job. She paid her dues and I can tell you that it was not easy for her. I, too, have a full-time job in a politically correct, well-respected profession that utilizes my Post-Graduate degree. I worked hard as many of us have. I entered into the adult entertainment industry to pay medical bills, not to support a fancy, pretentious lifestyle. Fawn paid her dues and with her natural charm and several glowing reviews behind her, she could command more for a donation, set stricter rules and have more limitations. I'd argue that Fawn is a legend with what she just described. I'd crown her a diamond any day.

I just feel that some attitudes on these boards would never welcome a girl like myself who is very established and even legendary to some, but has hourly rates of $260.00 - $350.00/hour. I admit that I am not a $500.00/hour girl and I have worked hard to try to become that in paying my dues with 47 ASPD reviews accumulated in only 7 months, 5 on TER and more on the other boards. 90% of my clients are repeat clients and are educated professionals who are doctors, lawyers, businessmen, and stock brokers, etc. They are shrewd with their spending and have thanked me for staying affordable. They do book me for 2 hours and tip well, sometimes $200.00 because of the substantial, evocative and intelligent conversations and interactions. The greatest misconception is in that girls who charge what I charge are not of courtesan quality. I wish I could travel to other states, but my full-time career is preventing me from this.

If a highly-reviewed lady in the Austin/San Antonio market/economy could earn a consistent hourly rate at $500.00, believe me I would be charging it. Some girls are earning it, but I am on a mission to learn their trick. And yes, once upon a time, about one year ago, I did earn $2,500.00/hour in Las Vegas and today that gentleman and I stay in touch via e-mail and telephone. He always pays me that, but I have no desire to reside in Las Vegas. I guess, the real tragedy is that with ASPD going down, I was about to increase my hourly rate to $375.00/hour in Austin/San Antonio and keep increasing it until I reached about $500.00/hour. With ASPD shutting its doors, I might have to keep my hourly rate closer to $280.00 - $300.00.

I respect all of you ladies and think each and every one of you is beautiful in your own way. And by the way, women become sexier as they age...

And fawn and Angelina, I'm so glad you both are proud of your stellar reviews. There are a lot of women that have a "no review" policy and a lot of men that don't write reviews and/or don't like reading them. So, just because someone doesn't have reviews or very many doesn't mean they are not popular and working successfully.

I'm not sure what I think of this whole "Diamond status" thing & the idea of earning it. Maybe it is the time of the year but it just sounds to me like I just earned some kind of elite status as a flier on Delta or something.

Ms. Adams - I think you will find what was the HDH community is not defined by price and is awfully inclusive in welcoming new people to its "sisterhood."

As for number of reviews (I'm generalizing here, so don't shoot me if you are the exception to the rule), there is something to be said for discretion and in some cases having a no review policy. Most "part time" escorts do not accumulate the number of satisfied customers that are writing about it as you and Fawn. Not a judgemental statement good or bad....just a statement of fact.

There is something to be said for the idea of exclusivity or at least the appearance of exclusivity. McDonald's saying 100 billion served has its purpose but McDonald's isn't where I want to eat.

Say, ladies, while we are on the subject, is there any such thing as a "guy/hobbiest
diamond?" Or some other object of extraordinary value? What characteristics would such an extraordinary hobbiest possess?

As Snorwood says:

"A Diamond, in my mind, is someone who provides a superior experience on many levels: personality, conversation, looks and, of course, bcd. Offer that, and you'll be a Diamond to me. And I a client to you. I have my Tuxedo ready!"

The lovely ladies on this site may think that certain men have the characteristics that you describe, but I don't think that you should come 'round knocking on their doors, Snorwood!!
Does a rented Tuxedo count?

First I want to thank you ladies for the very kind words... To me I am a diamond, and that is all that matters....I to see a lot of clients that do not write reviews, they are very UTR ....Reviews are only good for you in the beginning of your career here in hobby land, after you create a name for yourself, word by mouth is the best advertising there is......But to be honest I was just kidding earlier ladies, I don't belong here in the HDH...I will reserve that for you younger hotter ladies....Not that I am not hot..Now if they ever decide to have another forum for us Grannies such a HDG then I would be the first in line..No I really couldn't tell earlier if the guys were picking on you ladies so I just thought I would lighten the mood and keep the board peaceful....You ladies and gents have a wonderful evening, and I will pop in from time to time...Fawn

The girls that know me know that I don't give them a hard time. So no picking.

The hallmark of the HDH board was not how much the ladies charged or what the guys paid, it was just generally interesting and civil conversation on a range of topics -- some only tenuously related to this "hobby". I hope this place ends up being as friendly and cool. If so, it will be just as successful as the HDH Board.
