wrong on all counts. Putin is using the winter and lack of Biden to provide energy to Ukraine to finish Ukraine off with winter weather and no heat. Originally Posted by farmstud60

WTF and VM are being disengenous that Trump would let Putin invade UKR. For one thing, Trump is not George W. Bush.

you have no evidence that Trump would allow this.

Trump was an "action man" more than Biden ever was. he used U.S. military power sparingly and used it when it was necessary.

He conducted "warning" military strikes in syria and 1 assassination in Iran.

does this look like Trump acting like Pootin's poodle and that he would roll over at Putin's command?

the answer is no.

You have no evidence that Putin would not have invaded Ukraine if Trump were still president.

And with Trump weakening NATO and threatening to withdraw from it....and buddy buddy with Putin...Ukraine would have been a walk in the park for Putin.

where did you get this idea that Trump weakened NATO. he was the one pushing to nato members to increase defense spending to 2% gdp. only 3 or 4 were doing this already.

yes he did threaten to withdraw if they didn't honor their commitment to the 2% GDP spending. a number of them eventually increased their defense budget except for Germany who at that time was sucking Russia's dick over the natural gas line feed.

there is at a point in time of history where U.S. has to leave NATO. the EU. EU had been talking about forming their very own EU military when they already had one.

I'm very much in favor of this.

You forget one of the first things Trump said when the attack began:

"Putin is a genius"

Seems to me there are enough leadership failures to go around:

Allowing Russia to invade Crimea
Using Russian disinformation for political gain
Cozy'ing up to Russia
Publicly devaluing NATO for political reasons
Leaving Afghanistan like we had been defeated
