Message to non-tippers at non-erotic places.
Also.....research ! You should know with some certainly if a place offers extras. Between here and Rubmaps there's a lot of info. Yes, some is misleading...but a lot is valid
What’s next? Tipping the self check out register at Walmart?
This is a subject that I am somewhat perplexed about the amount to tip for a good massage. I have a friend that works part-time providing professional massage. She gets half the house fee, and the whatever tip is provided. So, a 20% tip is $14 for an hour. I sounds like the pay is good at $49 for the hour, but often, she only has one or two customers a day. Hard to pay the bills at that rate. I always tip at least $50 for a good hour massage. I want these ladies to stick around…
Interested in so much energy for L0, I like it.
Junebug is right. Respect the service. I tip around $20 for any good L0 massage and I tip my barber $25.
Here is what I notice about myself: If I go in for a massage thinking: "I'm going to focus only on getting a great L0 and possibly something else will happen", and I plan to really enjoy that L0 in my heart, I tend to have some great experiences. When I walk in thinking "I read about CCCC here and I want some of that", I always have a very shitty time. So it is for me.
Easy do not go to L0 places

I will tip 20% of the massage even for L0 as long as it's a good massage. But once I tipped $10 (20% of $45) for a L0 massage and the lady barked back that I was supposed to tip $40. Well 100% tip is soley reserved for some additional activities. Not sorry.
One time, by accident, I gave a 120 tip for a legit massage, thinking it was 20 (the new bill must have stuck together). She was very happy because some guy didn't tip her and just dash off. She must think i just give her extra for the sob story. She did a good enough massage job. Too bad she wasn't around when i re-visit the place.
T.I.P.S. "To Insure Proper Service"
I have done enough TOFTT During my travels. Vigilant17 mentioned my now refined approach at SUB-AMPs. If I have no data but they are close to my hotel. I will just walk in and see what happens.
I have always Tipped, on average, different from most. This comes from my BAR working days. I always start at 20% TIP, give or take. $60/hour massage $20 tip cause it's easy. If massage sucks, I ask for change and Tip $10. If the whole experience sucks off the bat. I walk out before 30mins. The Tip is not having to rub for another 30mins. So the tip is $45+$15 and I'm gone.
Then there are older "working" women that are too old for AMP, but still have skills. I have found a couple in the past and always keep to myself and we have a steady rate and I always get what has been agreed on. I lost a long time one. Thus I'm back on the grind.
Long short. Unless the experience is the absolute worst. Don't be the person that eats the whole steak then says it's sucks and wants it free after.
If you STAY for the full duration of time. Give them something. Otherwise get up and leave early and don't take your donation. Their tip is the remaining "balance" of your donation.
Example: I always get an hour. Period. 30mins is just not worth it to me. I like the massage to relax and get the blood flowing. There is a always a tell tale sign by 30mins that either the massage is sucking and the girl won't be. Then stand up. Say you have to go and tell her "charge me for 30mins" and rest is your tip. Walk out.
Remember when you walk into a truly Legit place. The only person who thinks you are going to get off is you. So if you punish a legit lady for expecting something that she never expected to serve you. You're the A$$hole, not her.

I tip $20 for a basic massage, no matter the hourly rate. If they do a good job, I tip extra. At full service massages, I tip $40, unless they really are disappointing. I have only not tipped 1 masseuse because she had too many rules. Loved seeing the look on her face when I said thanks, and walked out the door. My favorites, I just pay everything up front because they are good and never disappoint.
As a person who was a server (waiter) in restaurants for 6 years during High School & College - I start mentally at 25% but as the service goes down so does my tip. Zero reason to always give 20%+ for crappy service. Some people are not cut out for “service”. Yes understand some have crappy days BUT they should learn to separate that out mentally. I have my fav massage gal who gives an amazing L0 massage - i giver her $40 on 90 min massage every time. Nice thing is she bends over backwards to accommodate me and my schedule or other “spots that need 5 mins more” too.
Granted I also went into a local subAMP which had been recently reviewed here by others for L1 and greater - gave it a shot and got L0. I gave her $10 for the 30 min massage which was good but far from amazing (bitchy attitude too) - she looked mad about a 20% tip… guess bring better talents and attitude! No those talents do not have to include L1 or more.
As for all the other tipping crap on payments for other stuff - out of hand for sure and makes we wish more spots too cash!
