WRT stallion, I've lived in the south most of my life and I've never heard that usage.

Getting back to "stallion -

Using "stallion" (or any other male animal name) to refer to a woman seems pretty ridiculous.

And makes me a bit queasy. Sounds like there is some kind of he-she thing going on.
