Drafts Are On....Here Are The First 5 Up To Chief's 1st Round Pick!!!

Charles on the trading block? Injury were not aware of? if not then why in the hell would they draft a running back in the second round. What about all of the other pressing needs.... Man just when I am thinking good thoughts about Pioli, they pull a bone head move like this. Originally Posted by dirty dog

They just grabbed the Alabama DB. Small guy like Flowers which kind of bothers me but he has talent. He can also return kicks and punts. Update, Mort just said that the thought on the RB is that they are going to make a slot receiver out of him like Welker.

Maybe Weis is installing some real wildcat offense. Papa you and Fitz are probably right on the money.

Thank God KC got Jon Asamoah. He was my 2nd choice. I really didn't think he would last until the 3rd round. So a DT, RB, DB and OL. Are there any promising deep threat receivers available?
I am just sickened that Colt McCoy went so late in the draft 3rd round 85th, and to the browns no less. The only team worth a damn in Cleveland is the Cavs

Yet Tim "the Tool" Tebow goes 1st round 25th to our rivals the Broncos....Is this the beginning of Armageddon LOL hee hee hee....

Omahan: When I read this on your post...

I must have just been skimming through because for a second there I thought you typed "Deep Throat" LOL. My brain has a mind of its own, one that is constantly in the gutter LOL.

I'm such a nerd, my party favors would consist of a bag full of Ibuprofen and Osteo BioFlex LOL. ~

I pretty much agree with this report:

Kansas City Chiefs 2010 NFL Draft Review

By Tony Moss, Sports Network

The Sports Network

1 - Eric Berry, FS, Tennessee (6-0, 211); 2 - Dexter McCluster, RB, Ole Miss (5-9, 172); 2 - Javier Arenas, CB, Alabama (5-9, 195); 3 - Jon Asamoah, G, Illinois (6-4, 305); 3 - Tony Moeaki, TE, Iowa (6-3, 245); 5 - Kendrick Lewis, S, Ole Miss (5-11, 189); 5 - Cameron Sheffield, OLB, Troy (6-2, 257)
Analysis: Scott Pioli's talk about not liking to take safeties early was just bluster, as the Chiefs GM added a bona fide playmaker to a roster that needed one. Kansas City defied convention with its second selection, however, taking the miniature McCluster at No. 36 when most draftniks had him as a third-round choice or lower. That's a pretty steep price for a third-round back. The 5-9 Arenas might have been another reach for a team that could have had South Florida's Jerome Murphy or Wake Forest's Brandon Ghee at No. 50. The Chiefs' best pick after Berry may have been Asamoah, who has a real chance to contribute on the interior line. Kansas City traded up to get Moeaki, who has been compared to the Texans' Owen Daniels, near the end of the third-round. The fifth-rounder Lewis, like Berry, was one of the top five or six free safety candidates in this Draft. The intriguing Sheffield offers depth off the edge in K.C.'s 3-4.
Bottom Line: Berry is a gem, but otherwise they didn't do enough to upgrade deficient offensive line and pass rush.
Grade: C

After a pretty good start the Chiefs were once again able to turn a probable victory into a defeat. My Gramma could have made better picks than all those tiny guys. Jeez!!

Come on Omahan, its Scott Pioli, he's from New England, this is just part of some secret master plan. Maybe we could slip New England Bill a c-note to give Pioli some help.

However, if I was in Denver I would really be raising hell LOL.

I looked at a lot of websites about how the Chiefs and other NFL teams were graded in this year's draft. It seems as if the consensus for the Chiefs is around the B- range. I would like to see these draft gurus regrade the drafts yearly starting back with the draft 3 years prior. For example, Mel Kiper, Todd McShay, Mike Mayock and Rich Eisen should be grading the 2007 draft. Let's face it, grading the current year's draft is really nonsensical. We don't truly know how a player will be for a few years.

All & all I think the Chiefs had a good draft not great but good. Berry, Asamoah. & Moeaki are all solid picks. I don't know if we need another5'9" corner over an O lineman. And Sheffield might be a sleeper.........Bottomless ,Cleveland might turn out to be the best place for Colt McCoy. Although he better learn to like cold weather LOL
I think McCoy lost alot of draft spots at the end of the Big 12 championship game. Even though they won, he looked like he had given up, and he really spazzed on clock management (looked at play clock, when game clock was lower). So I'm not surprised he went so low.

I really am surprised Bradford went so high...he may turn out to be injury prone.

I follow Alabama football closer than any other team, and Arenas is very good, despite his size.

Does anyone know much about Moeaki? Is he a blocking TE, or more like Tony G?

The small running back...I really don't understand...hopefully I don't know what I'm talking about, but that didn't make sense to me.
