What Democracy Means to The "Democratic" Party Today

Each of us can hope for the outcome we would like.

At this point in the political cycle, about anything can happen.

In my view, this thread has been hijacked away from the topic initiated in the OP.

To restate that topic: In conducting it's internal business (selecting convention delegates, choosing a presidential nominee) the Democratic party of today does not follow the central principles that defines any democratic process. Those are the idea that in deciswing an issue, one person gets one vote, and each vote has the same weight.

These principles have been perverted or twisted to achieve the ends of the progressive left's power brokers in the last three election cycles from 2016 forward.

The OP is completely misunderstanding the political process with voting in a democracy.

The beginning premise is false.

Therefore any argument presented to support it is hollow.
The constitution doesn’t address parties. So what the Democratic Party ultimately does in choosing a presidential candidate is no one business but its own.
