Outside of actual life threatening or bodily harming comments, or anything that could instigate a riot, or racial triggering, or maybe anything about harming babies, or old people, why should anyone give a shit what anyone says.
All this bullshit about ohhh, start your own board or ohhh, you're on somebody else's board i.e. their property blah, blah, blah....oh, STFU will ya.
These boards turn to stir fried shit the minute you start running off too many of the wildcards and fringe character types. A board full of line toeing goody two shoes can't sustain itself at some point, and just ends up falling by the wayside.
When jokers are, let's just say, too far out there, or it's just too many of them, they eventually wear out their welcome perfectly on their own. Their schtick gets old, or they settle down and become somewhat acceptably normal.
When it's a witch hunt, again for basically freedom of speech, then that's when I feel like a board starts to metaphorically eats its own young.
What if a bunch of bible thumpers showed up here and started saying, heyyy, no more ECCIE, just a bunch of perverts talking about pervert things, and being home wreckers and sinners doing the devil's work...this board needs to be silenced??
You'd probably feel like your freedom of speech was infringed upon. Well, it feels like the same thing you angry mobbers do to others when their opinions don't match yours. You pull out your torches and pitchforks and run them out of town.

You want a board to have features not available on a board that you're on? Cool-- go build one. Its that simple. There are ways to keep your color while staying within the guidelines-- I've been doing it for years
