I'm just poking fun.. lol carry on
a few more worthy performers I didn't list above..

Bo Diddley
Neil Young
Cat Stevens
James Taylor
Queen
the Moody Blues
Erykah Badu
David Cassidy
Carole King
Bob Dylan
Grace Jones
Led Zeppelin
the Doobie Brothers
Smokey Robinson

Music, of course, is an "eye of the beholder" kinda thing (just like providers....WALDT right?) No debate intended...

But....excluding Led Zeppelin from any Top 10 (let alone Top 5) all-time greatest Rock Groups List means the composer of said list "tripped" through the 60's-70's just a tad too much imo.

If you (I don't mean you specifically, Tran...you as in the masses; "anyone alive and into music during that era") had an opportunity to see this group live, even once, you had to leave feeling this was the band all others would be measured by for years (if not decades) to come....

Sam Cook
The Traveling Wilberry's

All of groups mentioned have a place
can't go wrong with any of them.
Some of my favorites as a youngster

Pink Floyd
Jethro Tull
Led Zepplin
Foghat
Black Sabbath
Nazareth
Bob Seger
Cat Stevens
Lighter Shade of Brown
Ghetto Boys
Mine will always be

Michael Jackson....

First five in order of personal preference, not influence, though my humber one vote would be the same either way.

Rolling Stones
Faces
Who
Kinks
Beatles

Then it gets a bit more difficult, and much more idiosyncratic based on what sort of music you like.

Eric Clapton (yeah, it's kind of cheating as you get his solo stuff, Cream, Derrick and the Dominies, etc.)
Steely Dan
Little Richard
Jimi Hendrix
ELP or Yes

This is sandbox material. To help keep it in coed...

My list....I look for resemblance when seeking providers

Ariana Grande
Selena Gomez
Taylor Swift
Katy Perry
Shakira
Christina Aguilera
Britney Spears
Rihanna
Pink
Jessica Simpson
Nelly Furtado
Fergie
Kylie Minogue

I somehow left Stevie Wonder and Kate Bush off my posts.. arguably the best male and female solo artists, respectively.
