The business man who regularly buys them to add up his fuel points.

This is the first I've heard of a screening fee although I have had some ladies request a fee for reference info.

I allow digital Amazon or Torrid gift cards as deposits as well as cashapp.

I have a few REGULARS that I will except visa gift cards and PayPal from. Usually only guys I can track down if they reverse a payment or anything. Which has never happened thank goodness. I think they use spare credit cards to buy them when they don’t have the cash. Also it is necessary for some guys to have secret credit cards.

This situation is for sure a common scam that people fall for everyday much like the cash this check for 500 and send me 100$ scenario.

It's a scam, the Korean Ho's were pulling this shit with apple iTunes cards on wechat for a while, they even went so far as to demand you buy from a particular convenience store Downtown or the North side.
They would set it up to look as if they were in downtown Pgh,
Or they were Popo trying to get you to buy them on camera.
I'm sure to get the card info and disappear.
I never bit, I always figured like the one poster here what's wrong with cash?
I would message with them on wechat acting as if I were going for it, never leaving my house and apparently they could see what the cameras could see because they would ask me if I were this guy wearing this or that!
Hence me thinking cops!

Thanks to all who contributed, this is the first time that I was ever asked for a card. The only gift cards that this old fart ever dealt with was from the big box stores. Since the girl had a phone no. from Chicago, seems like she was traveling through to hit as many suckers as she could. Glad that I didn't honor her request for the barcode, maybe I can recoup the funds.

I’ll take gift cards if I know in advance. The less money I deposit to buy stuff I order online, the better.

I’ll also take photos of the codes via email, for research purposes. JK........but gift cards aren’t bad.

Yes Jinny I understand that they can be used as a form of exchange or currency, I was only relating an experience that I had.
This was about 3 years ago.
I was interested and told the girl so and she told me to go and purchase these iTunes cards, and also told me where to go to do it, and to take pics of the cards barcode ect.
I played it out from my house the first time.
Once I she asked me to take and post the pics to her wechat, it didnt take a genius to realise what was up.
The second time I took a ride to North side to the CoGos because that is where she the second girl, told me to go to purchase the cards this time, this was about a month later!
I wanted to see what the hell was up!
The first time they told me to go to the Cogos downtown.
I did see two hot Asians hanging around but they looked TGTBT!
Neither of them looked like girls pic on wechat, no surprise there.
So I GTFO!
In fact there were alot of asians there that evening, guys and girls but only two of the girls looked like I felt might be doing something like this.
I no longer see these girls advertising on wechat anymore!
What the CoGos has to do with it I have no idea, and I also wonder does this ever really work?

They're watching the Co-Gos to see if you fall for the game.

And unfortunately it does work, people are still sending money to third world countries convinced they can pass themselves off as long lost heirs
