Poison Ivy is easy to deal with. You just need to take care of the oil quickly. Cold water (keeps the pores closed) and fels Naptha laundry soap, comes in bars, and dissolves the oil. I use it on me, my hair, and shave off some into the laundry after hiking.

Most soaps wont dissolve it, they only thin it out and spread it.
Fels Naptha can cause skin irritations with regular use.
Oh, and they took the Naptha out of it because it's a carcinogenic.
Love BFE. Traffic gridlock is when it takes me 5 minutes to go from one end of town to the other. Usually its 3 minutes.

If exposed to poison ivy, use Dawn dish soap with cold water. Use just the basic blue Dawn. It thoroughly gets rid of the oil. Also, put some Dawn in your laundry when you wash your clothes that were exposed. The oil can stay on your clothes and in your washing machine for weeks.
