My opinion, but from what has been published, this was not a 'hate crime. This was a very disturbed young man who snapped. He attacked 'asian massage parlors' as that was how he had fed his sexual addictions, not because of their race.

Target of convenience...there aren't many 'WASP', latinx or other 'race based' massage parlors.

This sad story is going to have many impacts.

And the 'human trafficking' stories are already proliferating, in spite of most evidence indicating the vast majority of AMP women choose their occupation rather than being forced into it.

Yes, the bulk majority of the women killed were asian and there have been situations of mass shootings in the past where people were specifically targeted a particular area because the killer knew that was an area they(race) frequent. So it's very easy to paint this as a race thing as well.

I think it does a great disservice painting it that way(race) if it's wrong. Just like believing a fake narrative on COVID will lead to many issues for people/society. Painting it as a race thing negates a huge problem we have in this country which is terrible men. Terrible men are raking in the #'s on murders, rapes, assaults, robberies, and ETC. What the fuck happened to men to where they feel the best situation is to take property, dignity, or life from someone else as a means to conquer an obstacle in their life.

Have there been tests done on people in jail for murder/violence and compared that shit to normal men or are we all a ticking time bomb of emotion waiting to go off when the right circumstances are met.

I'm not sure how it would for this particular situation. Being an auto mechanic is legal and nothing prevents anyone from shooting up a mechanic shop. This situation was going to happen regardless, but it would help so much in other situations like fraud, robbery, trafficking, and ETC.

I was going to say that AMPs would be safer if they all had an activated door that can only be opened one way, but I'm not sure on regulations for stuff like that. There are a few that have them in place, but not sure around the country. It would definitely be a good preventative for stuff like this and even a few other businesses. One could still pay entry fee to get in and do their evil deeds though. So someone with a concealable weapon could still get in without raising flags. I haven't read into the story all that much. That could be the situation here.
